Maryam Salahi was born in Tabriz, Iran in 1982. She was educated in fine arts with a special focus on painting and sculpture. Her works reflect her inner world, dwell with the dreams and myths inherent to womanhood, and wander around the outer experiences that shape everyday life. During her career as a sculptor and a painter, starting from her early years, Maryam received several awards and opened her first solo exhibit during her college years. Her art that is commonly described as feminine, pluralist, and communicative has been displayed in various geographies in the East and the West.
